Lorena Hughes received her Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She previously worked as a manager in the hospitality industry and has extensive experience in business. Lorena moved on to pursue a career in the legal field and earned her Paralegal Certificate at the University of California, Irvine Extension program. She is a paralegal at the Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry and is a certified Notary Public. Lorena is bilingual and interprets for the office’s Spanish-speaking clients.
Lorena has successfully completed training for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Student Course.
In addition, Lorena is the current President of the Orange County Paralegal Association. She has served as OCPA’s Vice President of Administration, chaired the Hospitality Section for OCPA, chaired the Criminal Section, and co-chaired OCPA’s Annual Educational Conference. Lorena is a frequent guest speaker for student paralegal classes at Santa Ana College and UC Irvine.
